Before anything else, a bit of trivia: did you know that despite spanning six years, the Mr. Bean live-action series only produced a total of 15 episodes? No wonder I was watching the same thing over and over again, I thought I was just out of luck and catching the same reruns on TV.
But this isn’t to say I got tired of the show! Just the opposite, watching an episode always felt like a new experience, such was Rowan Atkinson’s generous, hilarious physicality. Mr. Bean was so successful, he quickly followed the show up with an animated series and two feature films, all of which, by the way, are available to stream on Netflix.
Now, like most licensed titles, availability on Netflix varies per region. As of this writing, both the live-action and animated series are only streaming in the UK, while the films, funnily enough, are available in many other countries excluding the UK. One way to watch them is to fly to one of these places, but an easier option is to download a VPN. If you didn’t know yet, a VPN helps you “switch countries” or change server locations so you can access Netflix’s—or for that matter any streamer’s—unique catalog of titles.
