Things seem to be going from bad to worse for the Salt Lake City cord-cutting service Vidgo. After an outage that lasted many months, Vidgo now removed all packages and pricing from their website.
A visit to vidgo.com/plans now redirects to the Press Release page, which itself hasn’t been updated in almost a year. The last entry is from April 2023 and it’s about adding the FAST channel “Cowboy Way”.
This redirect could mean that Vidgo might have an announcement coming out soon, and by the looks of it, it might not be about how exciting the future is for the streaming service.
On paper, Vidgo had a lot going for it: for a competitive price of 69.99 (raised by $5 from $65.99 last year), you could stream ESPN, Fox, ABC, A&E, and even ABC and Fox local channels. However, due to many outages caused by missed payments to Vendors, Vidgo has been bleeding customers.
The service launched back in 2018 with a sports and Latino focus. Its first package included Bein Sports for as little as $19.99.
The Spool reached out to Vidgo for further clarification but they have not yet responded.
Vidgo
Carrying over 110 channels on its most basic plan alone, Vidgo is a hefty on-demand and live TV streaming service that offers cloud DVR, multiple streams, and access to your local ABC and FOX stations. Sports fans will be glad to know that the lineup includes ESPN, Fox Sports, and the NFL Network, while Spanish-language viewers will find much to like in the service’s Vidgo Mas plan, home to more than 45 Spanish live channels.
