After the legal dispute between Angel Studios and the initially crowdfunded crew, the latest season of The Chosen finally makes its way to the small screen, with The CW still hosting the show. Fans can rest easy as they tune into the rest of Jesus’ journey on screen, picking up where they last left off.
Where to watch The Chosen Season 4
The latest season of The Chosen airs on The CW every Sunday, starting September 1, at 8/7c. The latest season is also available on streaming via the show’s official website, as well Amazon Prime Video and Peacock.
There are two ways to watch The Chosen: live on The CW, or streaming digitally on Prime Video, Peacock, and the official website.
The Chosen Season 4 on The CW
You can watch the latest season of The Chosen on The CW without cable on one of these cord-cutting services. Note that availability varies by region for Hulu with Live TV and Fubo.
Fubo
Designed for the ultimate sports fan, Fubo is an on-demand and live TV service that streams games from multiple leagues including the NFL, NBA, MLB, and the Premier League. You can get up to 215 live channels on your lineup, which includes coverage on RSNs and local stations, though you might have to pay extra if you want premium entertainment channels like Starz and Showtime.
Hulu with Live TV
Combining the best of streaming and cable, Hulu with Live TV pairs Hulu’s original programming like Only Murders in the Building, imports like Normal People, and licensed ABC shows like Modern Family with live TV channels like CNN, CBS, and TCM to give you an all-in-one TV package. The plans start at $77/month (with ads), but for an additional fee, you can upgrade to a bundle that removes commercials and throws in Disney+ and ESPN+ to the mix.
YouTube TV
Often dubbed as the best cordless replacement to cable, YouTube TV is a live TV streaming platform that gives you access to more than 100 channels, sporting events, local channels, unlimited DVR space, and up to three simultaneous streams. But what really gives YouTube TV its edge is customization; depending on your needs, you can easily add premium channels like HBO, sports channels like NFL Redzone, and Spanish channels like Unimas to your preferred lineup.
Fubo Elite
If you're a sports fan looking to cover all your bases, Fubo Elite has more than 256 channels and 130 live events that cover sports of all kinds, from basketball to cricket to golf. Channels include ESPN, CBS Sports Network, FS1 and FS2, beIN Sports, NFL Network, all the BIG Networks, and more. Depending on where you live, you should also have all the major local networks like ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. Even though Fubo Elite is a notch above the basic tier, with unlimited DVR and simultaneous screens, it still notably does not have Turner channels like CNN, TNT, and TBS.
The Chosen Season 4 on Peacock
Peacock famously used to offer viewers a free way to watch their favorite shows online. But even though it no longer has a zero-cost option, it’s still home to a lot of must-watch titles:
Peacock
Apart from NBC sitcoms, Bravo reality shows, live news channels, and sports events like Sunday Night Football and Premier League matches, Peacock is also the streaming home to originals like Girls5Eva, Poker Face, and Bel-Air. A subscription costs $8/month, but if you want to opt out of ads and tune into your local NBC channel on top of all this, then you can choose their Premium Plus plan, which costs $14/month.
The Chosen Season 4 on Prime Video
As one of the big three of streaming, there’s no need to introduce Prime Video. Here is a refresher and a link to subscribe:
Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime is an on-demand streaming service that doubles as a membership to Amazon's shopping platform. That means aside from getting the latest Prime titles, which are a good mix of original and licensed films and TV shows (both from Hollywood and around the world), you also get access to free shipping, same-day delivery, and seasonal discounts. The subscription costs $15/month, but if you're only interested in Prime as a standalone streaming service, you'll just have to pay $9/month.
What happens in The Chosen Season 4?
Previously, Jesus multiplied bread and fish enough to feed the hungry, and walked on water in front of the disciples.
This season, Jesus and his followers gain more traction, which of course poses difficulty for the rulers of the Roman Empire at the time. John the Baptist gets imprisoned by Herod Antipas, while the Pharisees seek for more reasons to condemn Jesus, but regardless of these difficulties, Jesus still proceeds to deliver His miracles.
All four seasons are available to watch on Prime Video and Peacock
You can stream 32 episodes of The Chosen on-demand on the show’s website, as well as Prime Video and Peacock. You might also catch reruns on the days leading up to the show’s season 4 premiere on The CW channel, again watchable without cable in one of these live TV streaming services:
