How to Watch Ted

If, for whatever reason, you find yourself missing the foul-mouthed sentient teddy bear Ted (Seth MacFarlane), then you’re in luck: Peacock is set to premiere a prequel series following life with Ted and his pal John (Max Burkholder, previously Mark Wahlberg) in 1990s Massachusetts.

The premise is simple: John is struggling to fit in his fast-changing high school, but the ever-loyal Ted helps his human friend go through many firsts, including sex, drugs, and alcohol. It’s an R-rated comedy to be sure, but it does look like it’ll be filled with more of the after-school-special learning moments that made sitcoms in the ’90s so special. Joining Ted and John are John’s parents and his cousin, who all live under the same roof.

Where to Watch Ted

All seven episodes of Ted will be available to stream on Peacock starting Thursday, January 11, 2024.

If you’re itching to watch the film series before the TV series, you’ll be glad to know that the first Ted movie can actually be streamed for free on Tubi and frevee. Meanwhile, the second Ted movie is available on Netflix.

But if we’re talking about the TV show, there’s only one way to watch Ted, and that’s by streaming it on Peacock.

Ted on Peacock

Peacock famously used to offer viewers a free way to watch their favorite shows online. But even though it no longer has a zero-cost option, it’s still home to a lot of must-watch titles.

Peacock

Apart from NBC sitcoms, Bravo reality shows, live news channels, and sports events like Sunday Night Football and Premier League matches, Peacock is also the streaming home to originals like Girls5Eva, Poker Face, and Bel-Air. A subscription costs $6/month, but if you want to opt out of ads and tune into your local NBC channel on top of all this, then you can choose their Premium Plus plan, which costs $12/month.

How much does Peacock cost?

$5.99/month
