“Keeping it together. Together.”
After premiering early in 2023, charming comedy drama Shrinking returns with its second season October 2024. The acclaimed series reverses the therapist-client dynamic, with a grieving therapist ignoring ethical practices and just tries the good ol’ brutal honesty approach. Sure enough, the approach helps bring big changes to others, but also to himself. The second season is slated for 12 episodes, beginning with a 2-episode premiere.
Where to Watch Shrinking Season 2

Shrinking Season 2 on Apple TV+
When it comes to quality alone, few come close to Apple TV+ and its originals. If you’re not yet familiar with the service, here’s a link and refresher:
Apple TV+
Apple TV+ is an ad-free and on-demand streaming service whose library may seem small compared to other streamers, but you can be sure that every single title it has is produced in-house. This covers critically acclaimed films like Killers of the Flower Moon, as well as dramas, sitcoms, kids' shows, and more recently, Friday Night Baseball. It costs $9.99/month and can be played on most devices except Android phones and tablets.

Shrinking’s creators are How I Met Your Mather star Jason Segel (also Shrinking’s lead star), as well as Bill Lawrence (creator of Scrubs) and Brett Goldstein (star of Ted Lasso). With such a power-team behind the show, it seems the critical acclaim right off the bat was inevitable. In a Variety interview with Lawrence, however, he reveals that the vision for the series is to have a potential Season 3 be its last to make for a clean beginning-middle-end, but keeps the door open. “If Apple is interested in continuing on[…] I would without doubt go forward.”
