After nearly three whole years, beloved office mystery drama Severance finally returns with a second season premiering January 2025. If you’re unfamiliar, the idea of the series centers around a team of office workers whose memories have been—severed—between their work and personal life. Fans of the dystopian workplace story would have been left on a major cliffhanger reveal from Season 1, but the long wait is nearly over.

Where to Watch Severance Season 2

Severance Season 2 streams on Apple TV+ beginning Friday, January 17, 2025. It premiers with its first 2 episodes, followed by weekly episodes every Friday until finale day on March 21.

Severance Season 2 on Apple TV+

When it comes to quality alone, few come close to Apple TV+ and its originals. If you’re not yet familiar with the service, here’s a link and refresher:

Apple TV+

Apple TV+ is an ad-free and on-demand streaming service whose library may seem small compared to other streamers, but you can be sure that every single title it has is produced in-house. This covers critically acclaimed films like Killers of the Flower Moon, as well as dramas, sitcoms, kids' shows, and more recently, Friday Night Baseball. It costs $9.99/month and can be played on most devices except Android phones and tablets.

What to expect from Season 2

Following a long period of uncertainty from Severance fans (a waiting period affected by the real-life workplace drama of the 2023 writers’ strike), Season 2 and vague teasers are finally on the horizon. Fans can expect 10 episodes (with a 2-episode premiere), with all core cast members set to return and new cast members in the form of Game of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie and veteran actress Merrit Wever, among others. On vague teasers, creator Dan Erickson just states: “I have an end point in mind, [but] I wanted it to be flexible enough that we could get there in two seasons or six seasons.”
