To the dismay of many stock-car racing fans, the Brickyard 400 had to hit the breaks in 2021. But it wasn’t all that surprising, given the controversial tire wear the cars had been going through in recent years, not to mention the dwindling crowds who’d rather go see the Indy 500 (hey, if you had to attend just one…). But this just makes the return even more momentous. Maybe it’s just for the 30th anniversary, or maybe it’s for the long run. Who knows? It’ll just be great to see cars gear up on the oval once more.
While Kevin Harvick was the last driver to win at the oval, Michael McDowell (Ford) is the most recent winner, having clinched the top spot at last year’s Verizon 200. McDowell will be back this year competing alongside 38 other hopefuls.
Plenty of NASCAR-related content can be streamed on Peacock
Contrary to what’s been advertised, not all “NASCAR on NBC” races are available on Peacock. The only NASCAR events that Peacock has officially announced it will be streaming live are the Cup Series Races in Daytona and Phoenix. That said, it’s still a fantastic resource for motorsports in general since it streams other races from all over the world.
