Just in time for the holidays, Marvel’s anthology series What If … ? is returning for a second season on Disney+ later this December. By the looks of it, season one characters will be making an appearance, including fan favorite Captain Carter, who’ll be battling it out with Steve Rogers’s Hydra Stomper in what critics describe as a sort of reimagined Captain America: Winter Soldier storyline.

Among the more promising elements of season 2? The introduction of an original MCU character, Kahhori, a young member of the Mohawk tribe who gains tremendous powers after the Tesseract lands in her community in pre-colonial America.

Where to watch Marvel’s What If … ? Season 2

Marvel’s What If … ? Season 2 will be available to stream on Disney+ starting December 22. A new episode of the nine-parter will be released every night until December 30.

There’s only one way to watch Marvel’s What If … ? Season 2, and that’s on Disney+.

Marvel’s What If … ? Season 2 on Disney+

Disney+ is quickly rising to be the streamer of choice in the US, but in case you’re not subscribed yet, here’s a rundown:

Disney+

The on-demand streaming service Disney+ gives you access to thousands of films and TV shows not just from Disney itself, but from partner studios like Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, National Geographic, and ABC. It's a giant umbrella of content for a fairly reasonable price of $7.99/month with ads and $13.99/month without, but if you want even more, Disney+ offers premium add-ons you can stack to your plan, as well as the famous Trio bundle, which gives you Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ at a discounted price.

Season 1 of What If…? just might be the least polarizing release in Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Unrestricted by blockbuster demands and live-action limits, What If…? was firing on all cylinders. On both the animation and storytelling front, it was bursting with creativity (I mean, zombies? Come on!), but it still made for an overall breezy watch. Garnering an impressive 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes, it just might be the least polarizing release in recent Marvel memory. You don’t have to be a Marvel superfan to appreciate or even follow it, you only need to appreciate a good story told.

The first season of Marvel’s What If … ? is available to watch on Disney+

There are currently nine episodes of Marvel’s What If … ? you can stream right now on Disney+. In case you’re watching for the first time, the aforementioned zombies make their appearance in episode five!
