How many of us wished that we were from more exciting origins? Imagining a different life during the hard times makes sense, and it’s why classic Cinderella stories feel so compelling. Much like the beloved Floricienta, Margarita takes on the Cinderella trope in modern day Argentina, this time continuing the 2000s Argentine teen soap opera into the 2020s.
Where to watch Margarita
Margarita airs on Max starting Monday, September 2, with five episodes premiering every week.
There is currently only one way to watch Margarita: streaming on Max.
Margarita on Max
With Cris Morena’s long career in Argentine television, it’s unsurprising that HBO teamed up with her to stream Margarita on their respective streaming home Max. Here is a refresher and a link to subscribe:
Max
While best known for streaming epic shows like Succession, Game of Thrones, and The White Lotus, Max rounds its selection with blockbusters from Warner Bros., news from CNN, reality shows from Discovery, and for an additional fee, live sports from B/R. Max’s plans begin at $10/month, but if you already have HBO, you should check with your TV provider to see if it can give you Max at no additional cost.
What’s the relationship of Margarita with Floricienta or Flinderella?
Floricienta, the classic 2000s teen soap opera, takes plenty of inspiration from the Cinderella story, though the ending of the first season puts a bit of a twist to the happy ever after with Florencia’s Prince Charming. Like her mother, Margarita unfortunately goes through similar troubles, even directly dealing with her mom’s old foe Delfina Santillán (Isabel Macedo), but with the same goodness from her mom, we’re sure Margarita will succeed.
All forty episodes are available to watch on Max
Five episodes of Margarita release every Monday on Max, starting September 2. You can also watch all nine episodes of Cris Morena’s other show I Love You and It Hurts on Max.
