Hit-Monkey, the story of a conflicted assassin monkey and his ghost mentor Bryce, would debut in 2021 and end up a highly-acclaimed action series by both critics and the general public. It is an adult Marvel animated series, with its dark plot-line, as well as liberal use of violence and profanity. 3 years later, the series returns with 10 new episodes in its second season touching on redemption, blood money, and deals with the devil.

Ghost assassin Bryce has 48 hours to spend in a human body again, and a mission to complete before the time runs out. Meanwhile, the story of conflicted-ness from the first season continues with Monkey. Some critics have found the balance between these primary storylines to be season 2’s biggest weakness, while others find the show to be a bit more polished (at least character-wise) on the second go around. Check out the series now on Hulu or Disney+ to see which way you lean.
