How to Watch Children Ruin Everything

You gotta love a frank title: children do ruin everything, except when they don’t. James (Aaron Abrams) and Astrid (Meaghan Rath) miss all the things young couples do, but at the same time, they’re in love with their children and the careful parenting having them entails. Children Ruin Everything is light-hearted and refreshing good fun, but it also deftly proves that both those things can be true at the same time.

Anyway, if it isn’t obvious yet, we miss watching James and Astrid try and fail and try again to raise their three kids, so if like us you’re excited for the Canadian show to come back on American air, then read our simple guide on how and where to stream season 3 of Children Ruin Everything.

Where to watch Children Ruin Everything

The latest season of Children Ruin Everything will start airing on The CW on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 9:30 PM PT.

After two weeks, it’ll be preceded by new episodes of Son of a Critch, so consider Thursdays a double-billing of sorts featuring two of the most heartwarming Canadian sitcoms on right now.

There is currently only one way to watch Children Ruin Everything: live on The CW.

Children Ruin Everything on The CW

You can watch Children Ruin Everything on The CW without cable on one of these cord-cutting services. Note that availability varies by region for Hulu with Live TV and Fubo.

Fubo

Designed for the ultimate sports fan, Fubo is an on-demand and live TV service that streams games from multiple leagues including the NFL, NBA, MLB, and the Premier League. You can get up to 215 live channels on your lineup, which includes coverage on RSNs and local stations, though you might have to pay extra if you want premium entertainment channels like Starz and Showtime.

Hulu with Live TV

Combining the best of streaming and cable, Hulu with Live TV pairs Hulu’s original programming like Only Murders in the Building, imports like Normal People, and licensed ABC shows like Modern Family with live TV channels like CNN, CBS, and TCM to give you an all-in-one TV package. The plans start at $77/month (with ads), but for an additional fee, you can upgrade to a bundle that removes commercials and throws in Disney+ and ESPN+ to the mix.

YouTube TV

Often dubbed as the best cordless replacement to cable, YouTube TV is a live TV streaming platform that gives you access to more than 100 channels, sporting events, local channels, unlimited DVR space, and up to three simultaneous streams. But what really gives YouTube TV its edge is customization; depending on your needs, you can easily add premium channels like HBO, sports channels like NFL Redzone, and Spanish channels like Unimas to your preferred lineup.

Fubo Elite

If you're a sports fan looking to cover all your bases, Fubo Elite has more than 256 channels and 130 live events that cover sports of all kinds, from basketball to cricket to golf. Channels include ESPN, CBS Sports Network, FS1 and FS2, beIN Sports, NFL Network, all the BIG Networks, and more. Depending on where you live, you should also have all the major local networks like ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. Even though Fubo Elite is a notch above the basic tier, with unlimited DVR and simultaneous screens, it still notably does not have Turner channels like CNN, TNT, and TBS.

Three’s the charm

Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen it yet, but season 2 of the show gave us a realistic depiction of what it’s like to ponder the possibility of parenthood. In season 2, James and Astrid are barely getting into the swing of things when Astrid proposes they grow their family. It’s doesn’t seem reasonable, but such desires rarely are. It’s a gut instinct, an explicable longing, and it’s refreshing to see James and Astrid discuss explore every side of the argument here. Obviously, season 3 is going to introduce new challenges, but maybe the couple are better equipped now given they’re experience. Who knows? The beauty of this show is that it relishes in James and Astrid’s beautiful uncertainty in everything.

The first two seasons are available to watch on The CW

You can stream 24 episodes of Children Ruin Everything on-demand on The CW’s website. You might also catch reruns on the days leading up to the show’s season 3 premiere on The CW channel, again watchable without cable in one of these live TV streaming services:
