“Evil has taken over our town.”
Welcoming spooky season is a brand new occult horror/thriller series Hysteria!, streaming October 18 on Peacock. The 8-part series follows a raucous high school heavy metal band amid an epidemic of Satanic panic in the ‘80s, exploiting their organic infamy until that panic ultimately leads back to them. Perhaps the most noteworthy part of the trailer, apart from a preview of the show’s versatile atmosphere, is Linda Campbell—played by the Julie Bowen—being dragged by an invisible entity.
