Brand new blue collar Texas drama Landman premiers November 2024. The series centers around the rigors of oil riggers in West Texas, and the “modern-day tale of fortune seeking” within it. It’s a story of roughnecks and billionaires in an industry changing the world through the climate, economy, and geopolitics. Leading the series is Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, a crisis manager in the oil industry solving all kinds of problems.

Landman streams on Paramount+ beginning Sunday, November 17. It premiers with its first 2 episodes, followed by weekly episodes every Sunday.

Behind Landman

Taylor Sheridan, one of the co-creators of the hit Western series, Yellowstone, is back at it again, this time in Texas desert heat for Landman. Sheridan lists a 2019 podcast entitled Boomtown, hosted by journalist Christian Wallace about the oil industry and their real life roughnecks and billionaires, as the source material that the series adapts.
