Reboot? Spinoff?

For some, it feels like comfort viewing, with Grammer returning to his old, iconic role. But for others, the show set itself up to be compared to a standard it couldn’t possibly reach, with some even referring to it as more of a spinoff than a reboot because of what little carries over from (or is added to) the original. Either way, the show would receive multiple 2024 Emmy awards and nominations, which sound a lot more like it succeeded than not.
